indui's PS coloring techniques by indui indui's PS coloring techniques by indui
I've had a lot of people ask me for a tutorial. This isn't anything specific--(like how I make hair or eyes etc) this is just techniques I use for pretty much everything..

sorry if it's confusingly set up. I started this three months ago :O (as you may notice from the examples at the beginning).. plus I rushed through a few things that I really should've touched up more on... but the tutorial was already SO HUGE!!

The next tutorial will be about PS effects. If I ever get around to it hahaha I'm thinking about three months from now B: *shotkilled*

I hope this is helpful :D Sorry for the huge file and my spam lately!

oh ya, and here are the pics I used in the tutorial in case you want to see the end/full result: (well, some -w- dA won't let me put more than six thumbs in a commentary XD)

So you don't use any overlay or multiply layers when shading?

oh, ... I definitely do XD I just never got around to that in this tutorial. I meant to go in depth about it in part 2, but I never finished part 2 :'DDD

But yes, 99% of my art I use overlays. And 99% of my most recent pics, I use multiply (blue/purple) for shading :)

thx 4 touching up on shading, I'm quite new to PS so shading is a bit different than traditional art.

This tutorial has been more helpful than any other one I've found thus far. :D I'm kinda new to PS, in fact right now I'm still using PSElements 9, but a lot of what you explained here works on mine. ;D I start art college next year, but lol I'm waaaaaay too impatient to wait. :XD:
